Below are helpful notes, too.

- Download the RAISE-365 for Apple | RAISE-365 - Apps on Google Play (Recommended) or Sign-Up Here.

All raffle ticket purchases take place at this site: Portsmouth Little League - 2025 Raffle Fundraiser. Purchasers will enter a player's name at checkout in order to "give credit" to that player. If a purchaser forgets to enter a player's name, it's ok. Our volunteers will do our best to manually assign these donations after the fundraiser ends.
We ask that each player do their very best to reach a personal goal of raising a minimum of $225. (Same as previous years.)

HOT TOPICS: SIBLINGS?
- Siblings should register separately, but each will need to register under a different/separate email address.
OR
- Siblings may register as one, under one email address, as a "family."
Fundraised dollars will be divided equally and manually by PLL volunteers when the fundraiser is over so that incentive prizes can be distributed accurately.
IS EVERYTHING ONLINE? ARE THERE PHYSICAL RAFFLE TICKETS?
Yes - this fundraiser is entirely online. No - physical raffle tickets will not be distributed to players to sell "door-to-door." Please know that our board members spent hours discussing this change, collecting data from other organizations, and researching options. Ultimately, not burdening our volunteer Team Parent and Team Parent liaisons with the responsibility of recording and transporting thousands of dollars in cash weekly helped us make a decision to try a new way. In the app, you are able to download personalized flyer that your player(s) can distribute, and the QR code will link a donor directly to the purchasing page.
SO I CAN'T ACCEPT CASH OR CHECKS? You (a parent or player) may accept cash/checks from those who want to support you, but you are responsible for then purchasing the tickets online with those dollars. PLL is happy to accept and recognize donations via cash or check (see sponsors and donors listed here). However, to participate this raffle, donations/raffle ticket purchases should go through the fundraising site.

HOW ARE FUNDRAISED DOLLARS USED? Below are some notes on expenses that PLL incurs annually + some of our capital improvement progress and plans. Equipment: Each year, teams need certain equipment to get the season started and play throughout it safely.
Annual costs typical include:
* Practice Baseballs (30) for Each Team: ~$4,000
* New/Replacement Catcher's Equipment: (~12 sets/year): ~$1,800
* New/Replacement Catcher's Mitts: (~12/year): ~$1,000
* Game Balls (~330 home games): ~$5,000
* Helmets for New Players (~80/year): $3,500
* We also try to replace equipment as it breaks in-season: field lining machines, refrigerators, screens, mound repair, etc.
Thankfully, we have many talented volunteers who help us save $$$ in many ways: installing sound systems, refurbishing pitching machines, providing plumbing services, re-threading gloves, repairing nets, and more.
Field Maintenance:
As a league, we were able to accomplish (with work still in progress for the next couple of weeks) the following over the Winter:
* Replacement Fencing at Central Field (with assistance from the City of Portsmouth)
* Purchase and Installation of new Sound System at Central Field
* Dugout Repair and Repainting at Plains Field and Hislop Park
* Backstop Repair at Plains Field * Snack Shack Upgrades, Repairs, Painting at all three Fields
* Repaired Staircase at Plains Field There are still items on the to-do list for this season and/or future years, including: dugout roofing at Central Field, scoreboard replacements, bullpen repair, new safety toppers for chain-link fencing, and more.
