This afternoon at Colby Field in Laconia the Portsmouth 8-10 year old all star team captured the District 2 title with a 13 -5 win over North Manchester Hooksett Little League.  The Portsmouth team advances to the NH State Little League tournament beginning on Saturday, July 31 with an 11:00 am game at Colby Field in Laconia.

 

Starting pitcher Jack Spencer and reliever Cam Stacy combined to hold North Manchester Hooksett to 5 runs on 4 hits and 5 walks with Jack Spencer credited with the win.  Mason Valcourt took the loss for North Manchester Hooksett.

 

Portsmouth's 13 runs came on 7 hits and 14 walks.  Leading the offense for Portsmouth were Cam Stacy [2 for 2, double, 3 RBI, run], Jack Moreau [2 for 3, RBI, 2 runs], and Blaze Bocash [double, run].  Also contributing were Lucas Cresta [single, RBI, run], Jackson Lore [single, run] and Jack Spencer [RBI].
