In the event of significant inclement weather [sudden downpours] and/or thunderstorm players may use the dugout for temporary shelter provided they wear face coverings AND distance as much as possible from each other. If a player's parent is present, and it is safe to do so, players should seek shelter in the parent's vehicle as soon as possible.
In the event of heat illness [dehydration, heat exhaustion, heat stroke] players are to immediately be removed to a shady spot, which may be the dugout depending on the field site, with one coach who is wearing a face covering. The player should be offered immediate hydrating fluids [cool water or sports drinks] and remain in a shady location until his/her parent arrives.
Under NO conditions may players and coaches congregate with less than 6' distancing without wearing face coverings. Players and coaches are encouraged to wear their face covering buffs around their necks when engaged in the game or practice for ease of use as a face covering when needed.
