Portsmouth Little League's 10U District Team if off to a 3-0 start in pool play of the New Hampshire District 2 Tournament.
In the past week the team has dispatched three D2 teams:
Portsmouth def. Tilton Northfield Little League, 11 -1 (6/26)
Portsmouth def. Laconia Little League, 15-5 (6/29)
Portsmouth def. Rye Little League, 16-0 (7/1)
Portsmouth currently sits atop the 10U D2 Standings but will face the remaining top teams in the next three games:

Monday, July 8 at 5:45 PM at North Manchester Hooksett Little League
Wednesday, July 10 at 5:45 vs. Lamprey River Little League (Game at Plains Field, Portsmouth)
In three games, PLL has outscored its opponents 42-6, and every player in the lineup has contributed to the offensive drives with at least one hit in the young season. All rostered players have scored at least one run. Grady Maloney leads the team with a perfect on base percentage and has collected three hits and four walks and scored five of PLL's runs. Ryder Raizes, Drew Cresta, Joey Coakley, Tyler Hodges, Ryan Poulin and Dreyton Srimouksavanh have each contributed multi-hit games.
Four PLL pitchers have shared time on the mound. Cresta, Maloney, Srimouksavanh, and Raizes have surrendered just seven hits and three earned runs in the three games. The pitchers have combined for 21 strikeouts and just eight walks.
"The kids have really come together with some great enthusiasm to play ball over the last two weeks," said Manager Sam Cresta. "Our upcoming opponents have solid teams, and we'll need to rely on our defense more and really make sure our bats show up in order to be competitive in the three toughest games we'll have before bracket play."
Pool play for the district concludes on July 13, and then the championship bracket will be built based on final seeds.
