Finn McCauley earned the win giving up 1 run on 2 hits over 3 innings. Jackson LaFleur [1 inning, 1 hit] and Jake Poulin [2 innings, 1 run on 4 hits, 1K] came on in relief to secure the win.
Home runs provided the offense for Portsmouth with Jakoby Schoppmeyer leading the way with 2 home runs, 3 RBI, and 2 runs scored. Jack Ferrelli [home run, 3 RBI] and Finn McCauley [home run, RBI] added to the offense. Also reaching base were Jackson LaFleur [2 for 3; 2 runs] and Cam Stacy [single].
Portsmouth finishes pool play on Saturday with a game at Rye; the outcome of the game will determine the seeding for the championship round of the D2 tournament for both teams. Also advancing to the championship round are the teams from Concord [seeding TBD] and Laconia [4th seed].
