On Thursday, July 14 Portsmouth extended its pool play record to 4-0 with a win over Laconia. Jakoby Schoppmeyer earned the win going 4 innings giving up 2 runs on 2 hits while striking out 9 of the 16 batters he faced.  Finn McCauley [1 2/3 innings] and Nicky Beidleman [1/3 inning] finished the 6 inning complete game.

 

Offense was provided by Jackson LaFleur [2 for 4, 2 runs], Jakoby Schoppmeyer [double, triple, 3 runs, 3 RBI], Hatcher Caron [2 for 2, RBI], Roan Wilson [2 for 2], and Jake Poulin [double, 2 RBI]. Contributing to the offense with singles were Finn McCauley, Jack McElroy, and Cam Stacy.

 

Portsmouth travels to Concord on Friday, July 15 to play the weather postponed game from Tuesday and finishes out pool play on Saturday with a game at Rye at 10 am.
