Portsmouth's all star team of 7 and 8 year olds beat Barrington 19-13 in their first 9U coach pitch all star game in the Colby Junior Classic tournament in Laconia.  11 players had at least one hit in the game, led by Tyler Hodges who went 4 for 4 with 4 runs scored, and Gabe Fournier and Fletcher Jackson who both went 3 for 3 with 3 runs scored.  Portsmouth's defense was strong with the middle infielders making 10 solid plays, 6 of which were caught by Drew Cresta at 1st base.  The game ended with an awesome catch in deep left field by Braden Pollock.  The boys have another game tonight, as well as Friday before the playoffs begin on Saturday.

June 22

Portsmouth had another good performance winning game 2 14-10 with Joey Coakley and Riley McMahon 3 for 3 with 3 runs each, Riley’s included a 2 run home run.  All 12 players contributed hits in tonight game.  Our infield made 12 plays, 8 of them being throws to Riley at first base.  Fletcher Jackson had a nice catch in left field as to round out a solid effort on defense.
