Portsmouth's 8–10-Year-Old All Stars advance to the D2 Championship game on Saturday, July 24 with a 14-1 win over North Manchester Hooksett.

 

Starting pitcher Jack Spencer went 2 innings giving up 1 run on 1 hit and 2 walks with 4 strikeouts before being relieved by Cam Stacy [3 innings of no-hit relief, 1 walk] in a game shortened to 5 innings.  Avery Lucier took the loss for North Manchester Hooksett.

 

Portsmouth's 14 runs came on 9 hits and 6 walks.  Leading the offense for Portsmouth was Lucas Cresta [2 for 3, 2 RBI, 2 runs], Alex Hodsdon [2 for 4, 2 RBI, 2 runs], and Blaze Bocash [2 for 3, RBI, run].  Adding hits were Jack Moreau [2 RBI, 3 runs], Colton McCain [single, run], and Grady O'Connell [single, RBI].  

 

Portsmouth faces the winner of Thursday's Losers Bracket final [North Manchester Hooksett v Concord] in an 11 am game on Saturday, July 24 at Colby Field in Laconia.  The winner of Saturday's game advances to the NH State Tournament beginning Saturday, July 31 at Colby Field in Laconia.  The state tournament is a best 2 of 3 series with games on Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday, August 4 [if needed].
