In a game shortened to 3 innings Portsmouth pounded out 11 hits over 2 innings to best Suncook 16-0 in the first game of the district championship double elimination tournament.  Portsmouth entered the game seeded first and will meet North Manchester Hooksett [2nd seed] in the winner's bracket game on Wednesday, July 21 @ 5:45 pm at Plains Field.  The winner of this game advances to the Championship game on Saturday, July 24 @ 11:00 am at Colby Field in Laconia.

 

Jack Spencer and Jack Moreau combined on a no-hitter allowing just one base runner on a walk to start the 2nd inning.  Suncook's Travis Keeler took the loss.

 

Leading the offense for Portsmouth were Jack Moreau [2 for 3, triple, double, 4 RBI, 2 runs], Cam Stacy [2 for 3, 2 RBI, 2 runs], Alex Hodsdon [3 for 3, 3 runs] and Blaze Bocash [2 for 2, 2 RBI].  Adding hits were Lucas Cresta [RBI, run], and Jack Spencer [RBI, run].
