Portsmouth Little League wins games at 10-12 and 8-10 levels to secure 1st seed entering the district tournament double elimination championship round.
 
10-12 [Majors] Division

Portsmouth 12 - North Manchester Hooksett 5
 
In a game that determined if Portsmouth would earn either the #1 or #3 seed in the district double elimination championship round, Portsmouth [6-1] earned the #1 seed besting North Manchester Hooksett [6-1] 12 - 5 at Hislop Park on Saturday morning ending the round robin portion of the district tournament. Both these teams advance to the next round hosting home games on Monday, July 19.
 
Carter Kuhn went the distance for Portsmouth throwing 65 pitches in a complete game victory.  Kuhn gave up 5 runs on 12 hits with 1 strike out trusting the defense to handle balls put in play.  Calen Lucier in relief of Tristan Lucier took the loss.
 
Portsmouth's offense was patient at the plate with 10 walks including bases loaded walks in the 1st and 3rd inning that earned Finn McCauley 2 of his 3 RBI.  While hits were hard to come by Jackson LaFleur [single, RBI], Gabe Carlisle [2 for 4, 2 RBI], and Nolan Bernier [single, RBI] added to the run total with strategic at-bats.  The only other hit was recorded by Jackson Hooper [single].
 
Portsmouth hosts Lamprey River in the first game of the double elimination championship portion of the tournament with a home game at Hislop Field on Monday, July 19 @ 5:45.  
 
8-10 [Minors] Division
 
Portsmouth 10 - North Manchester Hooksett 9
 
Portsmouth's 8–10-year-old district team earned the #1 seed in the district championship round with a 10-9win over North Manchester Hooksett at Plains Field on Saturday afternoon.  With a 3-way tie for first place following the round robin portion of the tournament Portsmouth secured the first seed by giving up the fewest runs allowed in round robin play.  
 
Cam Stacy earned the win going 4 2/3 innings giving up 6 runs on 6 hits, 2 walks, and 3 strike-outs. Colin Sparks finished the game going 1 1/3 inning giving up 3 runs on 2 hits, 1 walk and 1 strike-out.
Ethan Lejewski took the loss after relieving Jace LaBranche in the top of the 5th inning.
 
Portsmouth's offense was led by Cam Stacy [3 for 3, run], Blaze Bocash [2 for 2, 2 RBI, 2 runs], Colton McCain [double, RBI, 2 runs], and Jackson Lore [triple, RBI, Run].  Adding to offense was Jack Spencer [single, 2 runs] and Grady O'Connell [single, run].
 
Portsmouth hosts Suncook in the first game of the double elimination championship portion of the tournament with a home game at Plains Field on Monday, July 19 @ 5:45.
