Portsmouth LL 8-10 Game Reports

Saturday, July 10: Portsmouth 10 - Lamprey River 0

In a complete game no hitter Jack Spencer struck out 12 batters accounting for every out recorded in Portsmouth's 10-0 win over Lamprey River at Wayne Eddow field in Auburn.  Spencer faced 16 batters in his 4 innings of work giving up 3 bases on balls.  The game was shortened to 4 innings as the Portsmouth offense continued to put runs up on the board.  
 
Jack Moreau [2 for 3, 2 runs], Lucas Cresta [2 for 2, RBI, run], Colton McCain [double, 2 runs], and Alex Hodsdon [2 for 2, RBI, run] led the offense for Portsmouth.  In the last inning Hodsdon delivered the walk off RBI with a single that scored McCain ending the game for the Portsmouth win.  Colin Sparks added a single and run to complete the Portsmouth offense.
 
 
Tuesday, July 13: Portsmouth 11 - Suncook 1
 
In a game shortened to 5 innings Cam Stacy and Colin Sparks combined to pitch Portsmouth to their 3rd consecutive win in round robin action.  Starting for Portsmouth Cam Stacy gave up 1 run on 1 hit, 2 bases on balls, and struck out 8 batters for the win, including striking out the side in his last inning of work.  Colin Sparks came in to pitch the 5th inning closing the game with 2 strikeouts sandwiched around a ground ball out.
 
The offense was lead by Griffin McGuckin [2 for 2, triple, 1 RBI, 2 runs], Blaze Bocash [2 for 2, triple, 1 RBI, 1 run] and Jack Spencer [4 for 4, 2 runs] with contributions from Cam Stacy [2 for 3, game ending RBI], Colton McCain [double, 2 RBI], Alex Hodsdon [double, run], Jack Moreau [single, RBI], and Lucas Cresta [single, run].
 
Portsmouth [3-0] continues action on Thursday with a game in Concord [2-1] at 5:45 pm then closes out the round robin at Plains Field on Saturday at 12:30 pmagainst North Manchester Hooksett [3-0].
