Dear Umpire Registry Members and local Little League® Officials:
As we head into the start of the 2022 season, we wanted to share with you a number upcoming in-person umpiring training and education opportunities, including:
- Weekend Mechanics Clinics on Feb. 11-13 and April 22-24 (Williamsport, Pennsylvania)
- Week-Long Umpire Academy on March 15-20 (Williamsport, Pennsylvania)
- Regional Umpire Clinics, hosted by Little League's five region offices. Check Little League's event calendar for dates and times for the all of these in-person experiences.
Little League International's mechanics clinics will focus on physical and classroom drills designed to improve both base and plate performance in a two-umpire system.
The week-long academy will feature extensive focus on 60- and 90-foot mechanics, along with a review of Little League rules.
The cost of the clinics and academy, all held on the Little League International Complex in Williamsport, includes lodging, meals during the clinic period, and all materials.
Along with the clinics and free webinars, Umpire Registry members also receive free access to the 2022 editions of the Rules Instruction Manual and Clinic Instruction. We strongly encourage any Little League umpire to complete the Umpire Registry's online registration, and enlist other Little League umpires to refine their craft by becoming fellow Registry members.
